CHOOSING EQUIPMENT- FORM FOLLOWS FUNCTION.
What are the basics you need to know before choosing the type of equipment you train in?
First, look at the photographs of the result or appearance you can achieve  with each of the
three types of equipment.
There are three major equipment classifications:
  * Manual pens
  * Electric pens ( both dial and digital)
  * Professional Coil Machine. (Taught at Lasting Effects TM)

Knowing the basic differences in equipment before you choose training
can help you avoid the extra cost of taking repeated courses or not being
able to please your clientele.
coil  machines produce an appearance that looks soft, and natural.  
I. Manual pens. These are small plastic pens, with large gauge #12,                         
regular tattoo needles. The needles are hand punched into the skin.
This can be painful, even with topical.  Due to this being a hand
method the instrument  implants the least amount of pigment.
Client &  literature reports support that this is a semi-permanent
cosmetic and often is  redone in one year. Application  causes
swelling & bleeding and scabbing.
  II. Electric Pens. These are primarily from Asia, and during the
last 5-6 years  they have been  t taught and sold in high numbers
to new students. They  implant more pigment that manual pens,
but the appearance of the cosmetic  is the same as the manual pen.
The electric pens also cause the same  complications as manual
pens, to a lessor degree. Usually needs to be reapplied every
two years and is  considered semi-permanent.
  III. The Professional Coil Machine is the equipment of choice for those
who wish to have the cosmetic be permanent ( 8-12 years) and
natural looking.  When done correctly it cause very little swelling.
A professional coil machine is the only equipment which  accomplishes
  the flexibility of different artistic strokes: thick, thin, light,  dark, smooth,
scattered,blending, etc. There is almost no swelling after very little
redness, no bleeding and no scabbing when done correctly.

Lasting Effects TM  Permanent Cosmetic Insitute teaches ONLY the coil machine.  You can therefore produce individual, feather stroked eyebrow hairs, smooth crisp stroked eyeliner and smooth, soft lipliner, as well as soft lipcolor or darker looks to simulate soft make-up. You will also be able to take advanced courses later, in  scar cover-up and reconstruction techniques. Remember, only the coil machine is able to  restoration,  scar cover-up and natural look permanent cosmetics.
