Our program was carefully planned for over two years, and is  based on an allied health approach to ensure you learn all paramedical and artistic basics required for responsible, professional and knowledgable  Permanent Cosmetic application. We strive to have our graduates be a Permanent Cosmetic resource and expert in their state. Both clients and doctors will begin to look to you for information and expertise.   The  90 clock hour Basic Course is comprehensive, beginning with 43 hours of lecture topics, using simulated models and 20 hours of  hands-on "practice labs". This is followed by a 47 hour  clinical rotation. Here you will experience a live clinical setting; observe numerous permanent cosmetic procedures and apply six permanent cosmetics yourself from start to finish: two eyebrows, two  eyeliners, and two lipliners under direct supervision of Roxanne. You will also  practice hands-on routines, sterilization, client consults,  machine set-up, and have the opportunity to have another student apply your permanent cosmetics. On graduation, you will have a before and after photo porfolio started and you will have practical experience in basic permanent cosmetics using the professional coil machine. Cirrriculum includes:  equipment selection, needle selection, color selection, basic color mixing, proper cosmetic  tattoo technique, client consultation/ case history, sterilization and disease control, work station set-up, effective topical anesthetics, marketing, starting a clinic, working at home, suppliers list, ethics and professionalism, artistic design of basic cosmetics, and of course- hands-on  application.   NATURAL LOOK PERMANENT COSMETICS by Lasting Effects TM         Copyright 2008                             Knowing the basic differences in equipment before you choose training can help you avoid  the extra cost of taking repeated courses or not being able to please your clientele.  Manual & electric pens are  considered to be  semi-permanent, they usually use large gauge needles and look like a tattoo. The Professional Coil Machine is the equipment which produces the cosmetic which is both  permanent and  natural looking. The fine needles allowing for precise implanting of the thinnest  of stroked lines, not dots like pens. In fact, a coil machine  is the only equipment that can  accomplish  the flexibility of different artistic strokes: thick, thin, light,  dark, smooth & blending due to it's power and ultra fine needles. Lasting Effects TM  Permanent Cosmetic Insitute teaches ONLY the coil machine.  You can therefore produce individual, feather stroked eyebrow hairs, smooth  crisp stroked eyeliner  and smooth, soft lipliner, as well as soft lipcolor or darker looks to simulate soft make-up. You will also  be able to take advanced  courses later, in  scar cover-up and reconstruction techniques.
